I fell in love with with the ocean and photographing its wonders. Through my work I hope to spark curiosity and impart knowledge to future generations.

Hey there! My name is Tiani Dun. I am passionate about life and the sea, and have combined this with my love of creativity into the work I do today.

Since a young age, I have been writing, photographing and creating videos. If I ever had the option, I would opt to direct performances or produce films with my classmates rather than complete worksheets for our school projects. I have always loved the creative arts, and have grown up practising since.

More recently, I completed a Masters of Marine Biology (MS) at James Cook University. My final thesis was on the topic of how humans value nature, and how imagery influences our relationships to it.

With a background in Psychology (BA), I believe that many answers to our modern-day problems lie in our relationship with ourselves, each other, and the planet.

I believe that the most important change is achieved through forming deep connections with the natural world around us. We can all make a difference through working together and sharing our stories of positive action.

My work has been featured in numerous magazines and online publications, including James Cook University (State of the Tropics Report 2022), PADI, Astray Magazine, Fern Magazine, Wildlife Trekker, Pipe Dream and The Bullsheet Magazine.

In my free time I read, play the guitar, surf and write poetry.
